Attended Kingsbridge Primary and Grammar schools and after 6th Form spent 3 years studying engineering at Plymouth College. Then 6 years working for Hawker Siddeley Aviation designing aircraft, followed by 35 years running family Furnishing business in Kingsbridge.
Trustee for over 30 years.

Robert Cattell FNAEA.P

Born & raised in Kingsbridge, working as a partner/senior auctioneer & valuer for Charles Head & Son Limited Estate Agents for 40 years. Now retired but still very active in the local community serving as a Trustee for Kingsbridge Feoffees and as a Member for Hallsands Housing Society Limited.

Mrs Julie White

Julie White BSc (Hons) is a chartered surveyor and member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) with experience in development construction, and property management across the private and public sectors. Julie, a former housing association Chief Executive, is a Fellow of the Faculty of Building and a corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. She is also a board member of a large Devon based housing association.
Trustee since July 2011.

Keith Wingate

After leaving school he worked for his father in the family building trade, before setting up another building company with a partner.
The partnership was dissolved before Keith set up another building company on his own.
Served as Local and District Councillor.
Served as Trustee several times stepping down when conflict of interest in his capacity as Councillor.

Mrs Anne Balkwill

Attended Kingsbridge Primary School and Kingsbridge School. Worked in the City of London as a Marine Cargo Broker for three years and then read History & Politics at the University of Exeter. Returned to Kingsbridge and founded Selworthy Veterinary Group in 1989 with husband, Richard. Member of the Kingsbridge Community College Trust.
I have been a Town Councillor for 12 years and former Town Mayor and a Feoffees Trustee for more than a decade.

Anthony Head

Following my education in Devon I joined my Father in the family business of Estate Agents based in Kingsbridge handling the sale, letting and management of properties. This afforded me a wealth of knowledge of the town and surrounding area.

Ms Beccy Bristow

I qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and have always practised in the West Country, although my clients are spread across the globe.
I started by legal career in Exeter working for Ashfords Solicitors before moving firms to Everys for 6 years, working in Honiton and Sidmouth. I spent a further 4 years working for Purely Probate in Somerset before moving back to Exeter to work for Michelmores.
I have specialised for nearly 20 years in administration of estates, Will drafting, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Inheritance Tax Advice, Trusts and legal issues relating to older people, including advice on funding for long term care.
Start Point Law was set up in Kingsbridge in 2016 and I am the sole solicitor and director of the company.

Michael Trembath

Educated all the way through Primary, Secondary and 6th Form in Kingsbridge.
Went on to pursue Marine Studies gaining Ocean Yacht Master & Advanced Powerboat Instructor qualifications before returning to Kingsbridge in 2004.
Then joining his father Roger, as the 4th generation of Trembath  at Quay Garage Company Limited t/a Quay Auto Centre.
Alongside a career within the franchised motor dealership; in 2006 started with Devon Fire & Rescue Service, now Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service, serving as an On-Call fire fighter from Kingsbridge Fire Station to the present.
Latterly taking over the helm of Quay Auto Centre as Roger retired.

Graham James

Born in Exeter moving to Kingsbridge in 1976. Served as an apprentice Mechanical Engineer with Westbrick Engineering. After several career moves, joined Diversey as a Sales Engineer, progressing to the Divisional Health Sector as Manager with as team of 14 sales person from the South & West of the UK. Taking early retirement, my wife and I took over the lease of the Kings Arms Hotel, Kingsbridge.
