The Trustees are delighted to announce that the construction of 4 x 3 bedroom houses and 1 x 1 bedroom flat, which commenced in June 2022, is nearing completion and they are now seeking tenancy applications from local families who are in need of affordable housing.

The selection process will take place in March with completion of the properties during May, and appointed tenants being able to move in during June.

We are known as the Kingsbridge Feoffees, although our official charitable name is the Kingsbridge Town Lands Charity. We are a registered charity (Charity No. 212648) based at the Town Hall in Kingsbridge and can trace its origins back many centuries. The charity owns and rent out the Market Hall to churches, markets and exhibitors and a large part of our Town Hall is rented out to Merlin Cinemas, who provide film entertainment to the local area through the three screens that they operate each day of the week.

In addition to these two buildings the Charity also has a portfolio of 25 residential properties which are designated as affordable rent accommodation for local people who have a long-standing connection with the Parishes of Kingsbridge and Dodbrooke.

We are regulated by the Charity Commission and currently 9 Trustees are responsible for all compliance matters and decisions in developing the Charity further.

We will be updating this website with further information over the coming months which will include exciting news regarding the building of additional residential properties which will be rented out to local families when completed.
