Kingsbridge Town Hall Repair Fund
We are aiming to raise money for essential repairs to the historic Town Hall including the clock and clock turret which are in poor repair.
The Town Hall was built in 1850 in neoclassical style and over the years has been used as offices for the local constabulary, a jail for petty criminals, a drill hall for the Devonshire Rifle Corps, a courthouse, and the offices of Kingsbridge Town Council until their move to Quay House in the 1950s.
The clock turret was added in 1875. Both the building and the clock are Grade II listed.
The required work to fully restore the building is likely to cost more than £100,000
The Feoffees can fund half of this cost but need the help of our local community to raise the remainder.
